The Abortion Mandate
While everyone has been busy since February wringing their hands over the government's attack on religion, the HHS quietly slipped in another mandate--free abortions.
Here's how it works. Beginning on January 1, 2014, families who earn up to 400% of the federal poverty level (i.e., less than $92,000 per year for a typical family of four) will be eligible for federal subsidies of our health care coverage, whether purchased through an employer or in the new state health exchanges. Since most middle-class families earn far less than $92,000 per year, our health insurance will almost certainly be subsidized under Obamacare, and we will be required to pay a monthly surcharge to cover abortions, or rather, "abortion services," as our benevolent HHS prefers to describe them. No one will be allowed to opt out, and to make matters worse, the surcharge amount will not be listed separately on the monthly bill. The only time people might find out about it will be during open enrollment, provided we take the time to read the fine print in the enrollment plan.
This new rule also dances around the state opt-out laws. Even if states have enacted laws to avoid subsidizing abortions in the insurance exchanges, the premiums will still be collected and given to states that don't have such laws.
The best article I've found to explain this new abortion mandate is from National Right to Life News:
http://www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/news/2012/03/hhs-issues-new-rule-on-obamacare-scheme-to-fund-abortion-insurance/
This is the largest expansion of abortion since Roe vs. Wade, and Obama and Sebelius have put it over on us while we were busy worrying about their efforts to drive the Catholic church out of the healthcare business.
Obamacare is all about control, and it seems the only "service" they will always provide--and make sure we pay for--is abortion.

Facebook Cowards
Facebook had a dilemma last week. A woman named Rebecca Gomperts, founder of Women on Waves, filed a complaint with Facebook. Women on Waves, in case you haven't heard of this group, is actually a ship--an abortion ship. Rebecca and her minions travel the world and park their abortion ship in international waters off the coasts of countries that have outlawed abortion. Then they recruit unsuspecting young women to come on board and kill their children.
That's not all though. Rebecca, a pro-abort to the core, used her Facebook profile picture to post instructions on how to commit a self-abortion. See, all you do is obtain an arthritis drug, misoprostol, also known as Cytotec, and just lie to the doctor and the pharmacy. It's illegal, but so what? Just tell them it's for your grandma's arthritis. Then you take it when you're all alone to kill your baby, and if you don't end up killing yourself with this thing, no one else has to find out. According to Rebecca, it's perfectly safe. So simple really. If it doesn't work, just go to the hospital and tell them you're having a miscarriage. No problem, right?
When this Abortion Queen posted this stupid picture, Facebook tried to take it down. But she complained and they caved immediately. They actually apologized for restricting people's "right" to self-abort with dangerous drugs obtained by committing a federal offense. To see a copy of the apology, as Ms. Gomperts bragged on her own website, click here. So now, any teenage girl can try to kill her baby in secret. That's real freedom, wouldn't you say? And we're all so proud of Facebook too.
Let's fix this. Go to Facebook, search for Rebecca Gomperts, and when you find her profile page, report it. Click on the Report/Block link on the lower left and select the option to report this page for illegal drug use.
For more information on the dangers of misoprostol as a medical abortion drug, read this blog by Moronic Prochoice Quotes, here.
Help us tell Facebook to get some guts and get rid of this page before babies and their teenage mothers both end up dead.

The Wonders of Obamacare
Back on Nov. 1, Jill Stanek posted breaking news on her site about Planned Parenthood of the Gulf Coast, a group of PP-affiliated abortion mills in Texas, exposing allegations of Medicaid fraud. You can read the story here.
In the comments section, Biggz opined that the government should pay for everyone's healthcare because it's the compassionate thing to do, taking care of the "elderly and infirmed."
I couldn't resist answering:
Biggz: government should pay for everyone’s healthcare, huh? Congress is completely exempt from the controls they’ve placed on the rest of us little people subject to Obamacare. That fact, more than anything else in that 2,400-page monstrosity, should tell you what they think of their own bill.
How about a few more juicy facts? The Secretary of HHS will have direct access to our checking accounts, can deduct payments any time they want, and they decide who gets what kind of care. For example, if you are over 75, you get no treatment for cancer. Try googling Judge David Kithil on Obamacare and see his list of all the wonderful “care” we’re going to get.
And if you think the individual mandate will work, think again. This tax is anything but individual. It’s the first tax not based on producing or consuming anything. As a single-income family supporting 4 children and an unemployed spouse, we will be paying 6 times the taxes–on one, dwindling income. I prefer the more accurate term, the breathing tax.
This is pure socialism. The worst part is, every egomaniacal politician out there is stupid enough and arrogant enough to think that if only we put them in charge so they can implement their pet schemes, socialism will magically start working and everyone will live in the perfect utopian society. Obamacare is the resurrection of the USSR, complete with full government control of everybody and everything. Socialism is all about controlling people, and Obamacare is the most socialist scheme invented since Lenin. Enjoy your “free” healthcare.

Healthcare at Planned Parenthood?
From the 40 Days for Life Campaign in Indianapolis:
During 40 Days for Life women or couples sometimes stop and ask Prayer Partners about where they can receive help with a difficult or unplanned pregnancy. We have a special brochure prepared for that purpose with contact information about The Gabriel Project and 1st Choice for Women. 1st Choice is a Pregnancy Resource Center where they receive free and confidential services, including an ultrasound projected on a 37" screen.
Recently a young woman and her husband came out of Planned Parenthood and approached Margie Schmitz, a sidewalk counselor, for information. After a short conversation, Margie directed them to 1st Choice for Women.
When they called for an appointment, Barbara (not her real name) said they were driving over from Planned Parenthood and wanting an ultrasound. The counselor told Barbara that she was glad she had decided against having an abortion. Barbara said she had not gone there for an abortion.
Barbara and her husband recently moved to Indianapolis from Dallas. During the moving process Barbara realized that she was pregnant - for the first time. She wanted an ultrasound to be sure the pregnancy was progressing normally while she was waiting for a doctor's appointment in Indianapolis.
Barbara thought she knew what Planned Parenthood was about. She believed that they cared about women and their reproductive healthcare needs. That's what she had heard. But when she went there and asked for an ultrasound, she was told that she could only have an ultrasound if she was going to have an abortion!
Thank God for 40 Days for Life, for Prayer Partners and for sidewalk counselors who really do care about women.

Dear United Way,
After reading your position statements on abortion and funding for Planned Parenthood, I am amazed at and disgusted by your evasive answer. You are not being intellectually honest by suggesting that your local agencies can give to Planned Parenthood, the world's largest abortion-committing group, yet claim that you are not supporting the murder of unborn children in the womb.
If you took this attitude of "we don't support abortion but some local UW agencies do," and applied it to other controversial subjects such as pedophilia or human trafficking, society would rightly judge you to be criminals. By the way, remember that earlier this year, Planned Parenthood affiliates in numerous states were caught aiding and abetting pimps and pedophiles engaged in just such crimes.
I have never given money to United Way, no matter how great the pressure in the workplace, and I will go out of my way to discourage others from wasting their donations on you as well.
I pray that you'll wise up and end your association with Planned Parenthood right now. God is watching.
I wrote the above letter in response to United Way's word-twisting with regard to supporting Planned Parenthood while claiming not to support them. To read their gobbledy-gook, click here. The more words they use, the more they know they can't justify their actions morally. So far, I haven't heard back from them, but when I do, I'll post it here. I'm dying to read their response, aren't you?

Pro-"Choice" is No Choice
If you haven't yet, you should read Abby Johnson's book,
Unplanned. She, like many in the
abortion industry, believed abortion was acceptable before viability and considered herself "pro-choice." One day in her clinic though, a woman who
was 23 weeks pregnant came in insisting on having an abortion. After trying to talk her out of it, Abby was
forced to give this woman a referral to a clinic willing to do it. The woman's excuse? It didn't matter to her whether her baby was
2 weeks, 6 weeks, 23, or whatever. She
just was determined to get rid of her baby.
This abortion-minded mother understood completely the humanity of her
child at every stage of development but didn't care at all.
The viability argument, like the term,
"pro-choice" is a clever slogan designed to get people to accept
abortion on demand even if they know it's a baby being killed. As Abby found out first-hand, the only thing
the pro-abortion crowd cares about is the money to be made. That's the only logic they ever apply
consistently.
Please don't give those in the culture of death a pass by
using the term "pro-choice." There's no
choice for the baby, no choice for people whose health is seriously
compromised, and no choice for the elderly either. It's always pro-death.

Company Matching Gifts to Planned Parenthood
We have been boycotting Levi's Strauss (including PiperLime, Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy stores) for the last several years because they give grants to Planned Parenthood. About two days ago, we heard an announcement on a pro-life news service that Levi's had stopped donating to PP, so we wrote them a quick thank you note.
Today's reply: "Levi's doesn't give them grants any more, but we do still match donations from our employees." In other words, we pretend not to support PP and abortion unless someone really wants us to keep doing it.
We're still boycotting Levi's.
Before you resume shopping at a store that says they've stopped supporting abortion, write them a thank you note or ask if they make matching gifts to PP. If you think this sounds too strict and we should reward companies that only give small amounts, you've missed the point. It's not the amount that matters. Any amount given, even a dollar, means that Planned Parenthood can claim they have community support. Don't let them get by with it.
If you want to join the prolife boycott of companies who give money to support abortion and the culture of death, please visit the website of Life Decisions International at http://www.fightpp.org and purchase their boycott list.
Keep praying and fighting!
